REAL ESTATE WEB DESIGN GRAPHICS
Graphics is the fun part of real estate Web design but must not be overdone for a couple of reasons: One, a page with too many graphics will download slowly; Two, search engines do not see graphics. Small graphics such as icons, buttons, thumbnail photos etc. can add color and relieve the boredom of too many words on the page. In the case of buttons, however, since search engines do not see graphics, it may be unwise to set up your page links as a series of buttons. For example, if one of your pages is Boston Real Estate you want the search engines to be able to see that.
Large, animated graphics can slow the downloading of your Website. If the graphics download too slowly your prospects may find them annoying and move on to a competitor Website. However, used judiciously, animated graphics are appealing to Web visitors. One important rule to remember is: Words are for search engines and pictures are for people. Effective real estate Web design balances words and graphics to please both the search engines and the end user or prospective buyer.
